Buh-Bye Two Double-O Six

This has been one hell of an eventful year. I changed my office, quit a job, got a new one, lost weight, was single, stayed single, then not-so-single, then not single at all, then single again... I've been a busy, busy girl.

And to think that in one of our I'm-so-bored-what-about-you conversations, Eliot had told me that what I really need, is to do something drastic. Like get married. And get divorced the next day.

Right.

Anyway, since 32cats has tagged me, here's my 'What I learnt in 2006' post.

What I learnt in 2006:

  1. I write better than I think I do.
  2. People actually read what I write. And enjoy it.
  3. Every single person in the industry will have a different opinion on your work. You need to acknowledge that (but not accept it as the final call) and move on.
  4. I really have no idea what I'm capable of doing, until suddenly I've gone and done it.
  5. This scares the pants off me.
  6. It's best to embrace your feminine side and say, "Shoes? Hell yeah!"
  7. You have to be very careful of what you wish for. God loves loopholes. So you feel a little silly when you get what you always wished for and realise that a) it wasn't exactly what you were hoping for, and b) you were a silly, idealistic twerp for wanting it.
  8. In my case, this realisation has come about 10 years too late.
  9. If you're even half the person you make yourself out to be, people will like you anyway.
  10. Heroes fall. Dreams shatter. Love fades. And life goes on.

Oh, and I tag Neville, Ashish and Madhavi.

Veda (I can call you that right?), I just read one of your older posts. There was one where you put up a link of a TVC for Dove. Thank you for that.

And Happy New year, yeah?

God does indeed love loopholes. This is so true!

Anonymous, you live in a scary world, if you think cows wear shoes.

Vahishta, tell me about your loophole and I'll tell you about mine. Deal?

scary world indeed , but surprisingly that does not stop a moo from being a moo .

all hail darth moo "chief shoe design coordinator for the rebel moo army "

OK, now I'm spooked. How do you know about "darth"???

but why why ??? please tell , festive spirits and all

I'm not offended. Just that I used to be called Darth some years ago by a motley crew.
